MISSION STATEMENT

RAMPART: That which fortifies and defends from assault; that which secures safety; a defense or bulwark [1913 Webster]

Rampart ministries is a Christian ministry dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a world wide ministry and mission of reaching the world for Christ. A ministry of unity, healing and of reconciliation of all believers. Rampart Ministries is an apologetic ministry of defending the "Faith, once delivered" with the Biblical mandate of "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (II Thessalonians 5:21).

The term "Rampart" is used figuratively, a rampart is properly applied to that which protects by walling out; a bulwark to that which stands in the forefront of danger, to meet and repel it.

We as Christians are given the charge of "prove all things; hold fast that which is good." There is nothing that we as God's children should exclude from examination under the light of the Word of God. There is nothing, no matter how "pleasant to the eyes or ears" (Genesis 3:6) it appears, that we should automatically presume is the will of God.

Lest we should ever forget, our adversary, Satan is very cunning, crafty, and a master of twisting God's Word. His ultimate goal is "to be like the most High" (Isaiah 14:14). The Scriptures reveal him as the old serpent, Satan, the master of all counterfeiters, who is a liar, and the father of lies. The Bible warns in Matthew 24:24 that "false Christs shall arise" and "if possible should deceive the very elect".

We must post the watch, man the battle stations, and build the ramparts. Always mindful to be cautious to Satan's potential injection of poison and venom, especially when the Lord Jesus is the topic, that we agree with the apostle Paul in II Corinthians 2:11, "not to be ignorant of Satan's devices" - "lest he should get an advantage of us."

A ministry dedicated the principles of "unity" as the polar star. A ministry committed to the heritage of the restoration principles, and to the restoration and unity of the church after the pattern found in the New Testament.

Rampart Ministries desires to be used by God to advance His cause and kingdom and to strive towards the unity of all believers for which Jesus prayed "that they be one, as we are" John 17:11.
